Who We Are
The open Government Partnership (OGP) is an International Multi-stakeholder initiative focused on improving transparency, accountability, citizen participation and responsiveness to citizens through technology and innovation. Nigeria is among the Countries that have agreed to implement the OGP ideals and Niger State is one of the States that have keyed into the Federal Government’s OGP platform .
There are Global Disbursement- linked indicators and deliverables that must be met upon which States would be assessed to indicate levels of progress bench marched by international agreed best practices and standards. These include among others, Annual Approved State Budget for 2019 to be published online by end of January 2019 and Latest Annual Audited Financial Statement (not earlier than 2017) to be published by December, 2018.
In pursuant of these, the spirit of openness, accountability and prudent management of public funds and in line with the guidelines for OGP implementation , we wish to apply for registration to enable the State Government create a platform where citizens can engage, advise and interface with the Government for improved service delivery.
